Hi, I’m Claire, and I started The Cake Clinic because I got tired of watching talented home bakers give up for the wrong reasons.
For six years I’ve run a professional cake business from scratch – every recipe, design, price quote, and client conversation handled solo. It’s grown into something I never expected: booked out three months in advance, over half my clients returning again and again (and more who would, if I had the availability), and hundreds of consistent 5-star reviews, including 150+ on Google alone. I’ve made everything from kids’ birthday cakes to elaborate wedding tiers to bespoke corporate orders.
But technical skill is only half of it. I’ve fixed more split buttercream and collapsed tiered cakes than I can count – and made just as many mistakes on the business side, from under-pricing to learning the rules the hard way.
